Wallace Kaufman's latest books include a memoir, "Coming Out of the Woods (Perseus), "Invasive Plants," (Stackpole), and "No Turning Back," (Basic Books). His essays, commentary, fiction and poetry have appeared in many national and international publications. He has taught literature and writing at Duke University, Bucknell University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has served as president of three statewide environmental organizations, founded several businesses, and consulted on business and journalism in Latin America, Siberia, and Central Asia. He is also a member of the Oregon Mediation Association.
